Bioleaching happens to be the process of extracting metals directly from their ores with the help of living organisms. Dump leaching and heap leaching are in a same way, though in this process, ore is taken directly from the mine and then stacked on the leach pad that too without crushing. Meanwhile in the case of precious or delicate metals like gold and silver, the dump is irrigated through a dilute cyanide solution that percolates via the ore to dissolve those metals. After this process, the solution that has gold and silver gets out from the dump base, where it is collected and thus the gold and silver are extracted. Dump leaching is more suited in extracting from low grade ores and is less expensive but takes more time.
